On the weekend of Small Business Saturday (also known as one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year), we wanted to spotlight some of OUR favorite online small businesses. These are people we buy from, and we actually know most of the owners personally!
Just a thought – let’s make EVERY Saturday a Small Business Saturday

Small Businesses We Love and Recommend
Sugar Rose Veils makes the most stunning wedding veils and hairpieces! Jael isn’t reselling stock items; each item is custom-made to order. My favorite is her scattered pearl veil – what an elegant way to add some interest to your wedding look. In addition to her Etsy store, follow Jael on Instagram to see what goes into creating her wedding accessories and see images of real brides. If you’re in the NYC area, Jael also creates stunning wedding florals. See her website – Sugar Rose Gardens.

Looking to add a personalized Michigan touch to your gifts? We absolutely LOVE Smitten Woodworks! Jared and Mariah are a husband and wife team specializing in wood crafting. We love their wooden tie bars, which can be ordered separately or as a bulk gift set. In addition to tie bars and women’s jewelry, their charcuterie boards are popular craft fair items. Check out their website or follow along on Instagram to see more behind the scenes.
Another small business to consider for your wedding vendor is Poz & Bean Creations. Dave & Tina (a.k.a. Poz & Bean) craft a variety of handmade accessories including headbands and jewelry. They started their Etsy shop after Tina’s winter sewing hobby led her to start making men’s ties for local friends. Rob has several of their ties and bowties, and we can attest to the quality! Tina and Dave release their accessories in small batches of about six material choices at a time. However, they also do custom orders. Make your wedding party stand out with a set of custom ties they’ll be able to wear over and over for years to come. Follow them on Instagram here to see when they release new materials!

If you’re looking to simplify the gift giving/wrapping/delivering process, consider ordering a custom gift basket from Summer of Basket Girlie. Summer loves making customized gift baskets for busy people like you! If you live in or around Green Bay, Wisconsin, Summer can build a basket and hand-deliver it to your recipient. If you’re not in the Northwoods area, Summer is happy to help create a custom gift box and put it in the mail. Planning a destination wedding? Contact Summer to help you put together welcome boxes for your guests!

Finally, we were introduced to Farm Sudz this summer after Ross and Abby shared their soaps as wedding favors for their guests. We’re a big fan of favors people can actually use, instead of something that will only get used for the day. (Ahem, can koozies, etc.) Farm Sudz soaps smell SO good and felt great on our skin, too!
