Upper Peninsula Senior Pictures | High School Senior Portraits

It’s finally here – you’re a senior!
Hello Class of 2024!
If you’re reading this, I want you to know that I have been exactly where you are.
Senior year is such an incredible season full of memories that will leave a lasting impact on your heart and who you become as an adult. (I know – that is something people have probably told you a thousand times already – but over ten years later I can tell you there is at least a little truth to that statement!)
In addition to all of the fun things like homecoming pep rallies, spirit week, senior trip, and prom, senior year is also a season of choices you know are literally going to shape the rest of your life.
I get it! I’ve been there, done that.
Believe it or not, I still remember ALL those overwhelming feelings you have right now.
I also recognize that while senior pictures are SUPER important, you are also SUPER busy as a senior, so I keep things simple!

Upper Peninsula high school senior picture sessions last at least an hour with one to two locations and include at least 35 proof images in your gallery.
I know every senior is a little different, so I offer your choice of 4 packages to cater to your senior portrait needs.
My session fee starts at 199, and most families spend at least 500 on senior pictures.

My number one priority as your Upper Peninsula senior photographer is to help you preserve this exciting season of your life.
Did you know? I have a superpower – it’s helping you feel comfortable and confident.
You know that phrase “happy girls are the prettiest?” It’s for real.
Your senior year of high school is a big deal, and it’s okay to celebrate that! The entire focus of your portrait session is YOU! Let’s get creative – outfits, locations, style, and details all help tell your story.
I capture beautiful, natural photos that reflect your happiness and give you memories to look back on in the years ahead.
I’ll definitely make sure to take a number of images that meet your school’s yearbook requirements for senior pictures – no stiff cap and gown pictures, promise! But more than that, we will make sure the focus is on capturing images that reflect your personality. Bring a prop, bring a pet – but definitely bring your awesome!
What others have said about their senior experience:

“Our entire experience with Enjoy the VU Photography was amazing. Veronica made it really easy to plan our session, even with us living in southeast Michigan, and her communication was amazing. The session (senior pictures) itself was fabulous and we were extremely happy with the photos. We are already thinking about a family session for the spring. I would highly recommend using Enjoy the VU for your photo needs!”
-Lisa O.

“I used Enjoy the VU Photography to take my daughter’s senior pictures. Veronica is an amazing person who quickly put my daughter at ease. She was able to capture my daughter’s beautiful smile and personality in every picture. In addition, Veronica is the quintessential photographer, showing the utmost respect and professionalism in all she does.
-Krisan F.
In the Keweenaw, there are endless locations for photo opportunities, and Veronica was willing to meet us on top of Brockway Mountain and by Lake Superior for our photo session. This meant the world to us as the Keweenaw has a special place in our hearts. The process for ordering photos was simple and straightforward. Veronica was always available to answer my questions. The quality of the photos is absolutely amazing. I’m excited to display her work in my home. Thank you, Veronica, for such a wonderful experience. You made this truly memorable for Natalya.”

“Veronica did a great job capturing our daughter’s beauty at her “happy place” – the farm. Thanks again for making her senior photo session a fun & comfortable experience for her!”
-Diane A.

“I am from Houghton but have raised our family downstate Michigan due to a job. As I did with my oldest daughter I wanted my youngest daughter to have her senior pictures in the copper country it was important to me. We reached out to Veronica along with a few other photographers in the area all got back to us saying that they would love to help us but I let my daughter Aili pick who she wanted to use, she chose Enjoy the VU and we are both super happy about that.
-Crystal H.
We were set on where we wanted to shoot, being from the area, and Veronica and her husband Rob were perfect helping us get the best shots in the locations we had chosen. We did choose some private land that belongs to family friends who own sled dogs, the fields are full of wildflowers and it was perfect. Veronica and Rob even got to snuggle some sled dog puppies after the photo shoot.
The night was perfect; Veronica did a great job and she’s very enjoyable to work with. We would definitely use her again and highly suggest her. Aili liked her so much she even invited her to her grad party knowing she mostly would not be able to make since it’s a 10-hour drive but she wanted to extend the invite so that Veronica knew she was welcome if she was in the area.”
What should I know before my senior pictures?
Can I choose my location, and how many locations do I get?
If you have a place that is special to you, of course that needs to be part of your senior pictures! If you don’t have a specific location in mind, I am more than happy to help you decide! You can rest easy knowing that your pictures will be unique and special because I limit how often I shoot seniors in each location.
After we decide on a style for your senior pictures I will share 3-4 locations I think will fit your needs best. You are welcome to choose your top one or two from that list – this way we maximize your time and minimize driving around!
Do you charge a travel fee?
I don’t charge any travel fees for senior picture sessions that take place in Houghton, Keweenaw, Ontonagon, or Baraga County. While I love working anywhere in the Upper Peninsula, there is an additional charge for sessions scheduled outside of these four counties.
Do you provide prints if I would rather you print them?
Absolutely! I work with a professional photography lab to provide you the best quality, better than Walgreen’s or Shutterfly can offer on its best day. You’ll be able to see the variety of prints and framing options available when your gallery goes live! (Or check out our products page now.)

Can you help with wardrobe?
OF COURSE! Wardrobe can make or break having a stylish session. In the weeks leading up to your session, I encourage you to send what you plan to wear. You’ll also receive my Senior Style Guide PDF to help you select and/or purchase the best outfits for your session.
In addition, I’m also building a custom wardrobe of dresses and skirts so you can wear something special for the day without committing to purchase a dress you may never wear again! Ask me for more information!
Do you offer hair and makeup?
Like wardrobe, hair and makeup is important! I can recommend a stylist but this is not an included service at this time. Most girls opt to schedule hair and makeup on their own.

Will you pose me? I’m not a model.
I walk you through everything from start to finish! Come relaxed and ready to have fun during your senior pictures!
Do I know anyone you have done portraits for?
Probably! After this, head over to my gallery page to see who you know as well. It will also give you an idea of what YOUR gallery will look like!
How do I book and what’s required?
The best thing to do is fill out the questionnaire above to get started!
If you have any questions, you can call or text 906.523.9286, or email veronica@enjoythevuphotography.com.
Your session is not “official” until your parents have signed the contract and paid the retainer (50% ahead of time). Reach out today to ensure your date is available!
