Michigan Tech University Engagement Session with Spencer & Caitalyn
Spencer and Caitalyn are Michigan Tech University sweethearts. They both share a love for hiking and exploring the Keweenaw and decided to stay in the area after graduating.
Spencer proposed to Caitalyn at Prince’s Point Park, a hidden gem near Michigan Tech and a favorite hangout for MTU students. Unlike their proposal, we had the park completely to ourselves which was surprising for a weekend afternoon!
Caitalyn and Spencer are getting married in the summer of 2022, and we are so looking forward to their wedding! Spencer and Caitalyn are the perfect EVU couple – laid-back and love to laugh. We bonded with them over our shared love of the Keweenaw. My face hurt from laughing by the time we got back in our car to head home!
Spencer and Caitalyn, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding experience. We loved spending the afternoon around the Michigan Tech University grounds and can’t wait for your wedding next year!

Prince’s Point Park Engagement Session
Prince’s Point was a project by Michigan Tech University students in 2018 so is relatively new. A team of 35 student volunteers cleared ground vegetation from the beach shore as well as removed a large amount of metal, glass, charcoal, and ash. Although it is a smaller park, it’s beautiful and a great place to watch both sunrises and sunsets!

Spencer proposed to Caitalyn next to this huge tree with the type of elongated branches that make my heart flutter, so of course we had to include it in their Prince’s Point engagement session!

Engagement Session at Michigan Tech University
When Rob and I went to explore Prince’s Point ahead of Spencer and Caitalyn’s engagement session, I fell totally head-over-heels in love with these teal doors on one of the Michigan Tech buildings. Thank you Caitalyn and Spencer for humoring me for a last minute detour to include these doors!!

Spencer proposed with a family heirloom with Caitalyn choosing the setting for it afterward. It’s the perfect blend of old and new, honoring family while they start their new life as a couple.
