Can I be honest? Despite the literal hours this post takes to compile – even though every time I say “next year I’m going to be better at organizing so it isn’t so much work at the end of the year!” – this is my favorite blog post to write for the entire year. Looking back over another year in business, reflecting on all the people we’ve met over the last year, and trying to narrow down the images I’m the MOST PROUD of after an entire year of photography – it’s not lost on me what a privilege this is.
In years past, I’ve let myself be swept up in the “busy” and not be present enough, and my goal for 2024 was to slow down and make sure I was actually excited about the work I was producing and the people we were meeting. Growth isn’t always linear, and this year I wanted to make sure I was like a tree with a deep root system to produce solid work I was proud of for every client. We joined the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce to network and support our community. We took more courses, attended photography conferences, and did more personal work to ensure our techniques were solid before we tried new equipment with you. 😉 And boy, looking back over this last year, I sure am proud at what we’re sharing as our Best of 2024.

Weddings, proposals, high school seniors, families, and a few horses – thank you for inviting us into your lives and allowing Rob and me to get to know you! We recognize the incredible privilege it is to be a part of your core memories. That’s why we love not only providing digital images, but also many heirloom albums, fine art prints, and folio boxes.
